Held at Sallaghari ground, Bhaktapur, on the occasion of New Year and Bisket Jatra, the 9th Bhaktapur Industrial, Cultural, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade Festival 2081/82 drew over 175,000 visitors.
The 11-day celebration started on Chaitra 18 and was run by Industrial Peace Nepal under the theme “New Year, New Thinking A Source of Progress for Youth.” The event, Sandeep Mahat, president of the organization stated, was consumer-driven.
Stalls selling and showing daily necessities, food items, kitchenware, different kinds of clothes, shoes, agricultural products, and handicrafts were part of the festival. Exhibition halls displayed industrial products, information and communication technology, cars, modern agricultural tools, electronics, mobile devices, and local arts and crafts.

The excitement was increased by competitions, fashion raps, comedy shows, and dance performances. Mahat added that customers could take advantage of discounts of 20% to 50% on items on display at 150 stalls.
