Yesterday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said goodbye to Assistant Inspector Danta Bahadur Chhantyal of the Armed Police Force, who is getting ready to ascend Mount Everest in support of the Sagarmatha Dialogue initiative. Prime Minister Oli wished Chhantyal a successful expedition during a ceremony at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

Chhantyal will also research and document the effects of climate change while traveling. He was given a banner for the climb that read “Sagarmatha Dialogue.” Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal of Nepal, Inspector General Raju Aryal of the Armed Police Force, and other officials attended the farewell program. The Government of Nepal is planning to hold the Sagarmatha Dialogue in Kathmandu from May 16–18, 2025 (Jestha 2–4, 2082 BS).
