Pokhara welcomed a 21-member delegation from Indian Luxury Affairs, comprising influential figures from fashion, lifestyle, entertainment, and corporate sectors. The visit aims to promote Nepal, especially Pokhara, as a prime destination for luxury travel. The team was greeted at Pokhara International Airport with a traditional Pancha Kanya reception and Naumati Baja.

An official event was organized at Hotel Temple Tree Boutique, where Mani Raj Lamichhane, head of the Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province, introduced the tourism highlights of Pokhara and Gandaki. He emphasized Pokhara’s charm in nature, culture, and adventure tourism and informed guests about improved high-end hospitality services and the launch of international flights. Spokesperson of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Motiraj Timilsina, spoke about the 2025 Pokhara Visit Year campaign, with various tourism packages being launched.

Gopi Bahadur Bhattarai, coordinator of the campaign committee, stressed of the tourists’ from India significant role in the campaign’s success. Taranath Pahari, president of the Pokhara Tourism Council, stated that the team would also visit Mustang and that this high-profile Indian visit would help boost tourism across Gandaki Province. Indian delegate Upol Majumdar praised the warm hospitality, while tourism expert Dipendra Pahari conducted the event.
