On Monday, the Lumbini Development Trust will host a special ceremony in the birth place of Gautam Buddha to commemorate the 2569th Buddha Jayanti and Lumbini Day 2082. The chief guest will be Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. In a statement, Badri Prasad Pandey, the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation and the chairman of the Lumbini Development Trust, invited everyone to attend.

The International Buddhist Conference and Meditation Center and the birth place of Gautam Buddha Cultural Center will host the special ceremony, which is scheduled to start at 9:00 AM. It is being held in honor of Vachalathwa Purnima and Nepal Sambat 1145. Devotees celebrating Buddha Jayanti, officials from Buddhist organizations, representatives of diplomatic missions, and Buddhist followers from other nations will all be attending the event.
