Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Nepal Police, Kunzang Tshopel Sherpa, has successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest. According to Nepal Police, she stood atop the world’s highest peak on Monday at 8:56 AM. She undertook the expedition carrying the message: “Let’s unite to end violence against women and girls.”

On Chaitra 25 (April 7), Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deepak Thapa handed her the campaign banner with best wishes. Following her successful ascent, IGP Thapa extended his congratulations to ASI Sherpa. Just a day earlier, ASI Danta Bahadur Chhatyal from the Armed Police Force also summited Everest at 9:20 AM on Sunday, carrying banners of the Armed Police Force and the “Everest Dialogue.”
