First-Ever Paragliding Test Flight Conducted in Guthichaur for Tourism Promotion

In a bid to promote tourism, Guthichaur Rural Municipality has conducted its first-ever commercial test flight for paragliding. This adventurous sport aims to boost the area’s tourism potential.

A team of paragliding pilots from Babu Adventure Group in Pokhara, including Mohan Sunuwar, Sanubabu Sunuwar, Rajkumar Sunuwar, Nirgam Sunuwar, and Nirmal Sunuwar, successfully executed the initial test flight in Guthichaur today, according to Danbahadur Budha, the Chairperson of Guthichaur Rural Municipality.

“The test flight was successful,” Chairperson Budha stated. “We will now station two paragliding pilots to conduct regular flights.” Budha also mentioned that the municipality has devised a master plan for tourism promotion, which will be implemented soon.

Resident Tek Bahadur Bhandari expressed his joy at witnessing paragliding in the skies of Guthichaur for the first time. The municipality has announced plans to provide special training for enthusiastic local youth to enable them to participate in regular paragliding activities.

To ensure safe flights, the municipality will conduct awareness programs for paragliding pilots and business operators, focusing on thorough equipment checks and adherence to health standards.
