The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently experiencing the combined influence of western and local winds. Additionally, a partial impact of vapor-laden winds originating from the Bay of Bengal is contributing to current weather conditions.
According to the latest forecast, this afternoon will see partial to generally cloudy skies across the hilly areas of Lumbini Province and other parts of the country, while the remaining regions are likely to experience clearer weather.
The department further stated that light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly regions. Furthermore, light rain and snowfall are expected in one or two places within the high mountainous and hilly regions.
Specifically, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces are expected to witness partial to generally cloudy skies, with increased chances of light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning in several hilly locations. Occasional light snowfall may also occur in isolated areas of the high Himalayan region. The Department advises the public, especially those residing in hilly and mountainous regions, to remain cautious due to potential weather fluctuations.
