Tourist Buses Escorted Safely Amid Transport Strike

The District Police Office has safely escorted 10 tourist buses to their respective destinations following disruptions caused by a transport strike enforced by transport entrepreneurs.

According to District Police Office spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabindra Khanal, the strike had left several tourist buses stranded in Sauraha. In response, the police provided secure escort services (scouting) to facilitate their movement.

Of the total buses, seven were heading toward Kathmandu and three toward Pokhara. The buses bound for Pokhara were escorted up to Muglin, while those en route to Kathmandu were escorted up to Mouwakhola, confirmed DSP Khanal.

The police utilized motorcycles to provide safe passage for the buses through the district checkpoints. The buses that received police escort include vehicles bearing registration numbers:
Pradesh 3–001 Pa 1623, Ba 1 Pa 974, Ba 1 Pa 689, Ba 1 Pa 1391, BaPra–01–001 Pa 1703, Ba 1 Pa 1399, Ba 1 Pa 107, Ga 1 Pa 287, Ga 1 Pa 191, and Ba 1 Pa 1070.

Authorities confirmed that the action was taken to ensure the safety of tourists and maintain mobility in the face of ongoing industrial actions affecting public transportation.
