The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that light to moderate rain is currently occurring in the Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces due to the influence of monsoon winds sweeping across the country.
In its latest weather bulletin, the Department has forecasted heavy rain in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces within the next 24 hours. This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning likely in several regions, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Heavy rainfall is specifically predicted for one or two locations in the Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Tonight, the country will continue to experience partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Additionally, heavy rain is expected in a few areas within Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions.
The Department further adds that over the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in several parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
