Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Pays Tribute to Dwarika’s Hotel Founder Ambika Shrestha

Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey paid tribute to Ambika Shrestha, the founder of Dwarika’s Hotel and a prominent tourism entrepreneur, who passed away recently.

Minister Pandey offered his condolences by laying a floral wreath on Shrestha’s body at Dwarika’s Hotel in Battisputali today. He also expressed his sorrow in the condolence book kept at the hotel.

During the occasion, Minister Pandey extended his sympathies to the bereaved family and remembered Shrestha’s significant contributions to Nepal’s tourism and hotel industry. He remarked that her demise is an irreparable loss to the social sector.

Ninety-two-year-old Shrestha had been receiving treatment for a prolonged intestinal infection and passed away at around 8 a.m. on Thursday at Nepal Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur. Her family announced that her final rites will be performed today at the electric crematorium at Pashupati Aryaghat.
