Kailash Helicopter Services to Offer Attractive Dividend to Shareholders

Private aviation operator Kailash Helicopter Services Limited is set to reward its shareholders with an attractive dividend. In a board meeting held on Sunday, the company proposed a 30 percent cash dividend along with a 10 percent bonus share distribution. The company plans to distribute NPR 63 million in cash dividends to its shareholders and has called its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28th Poush to approve the dividend and share issuance proposals.

Capital Increase Plan

Kailash Helicopter Services is also preparing to increase its paid-up capital to NPR 500 million from the current NPR 315 million, according to Managing Director Pratap Jung Pandey. The company plans to raise an additional NPR 185 million through a combination of bonus shares, rights shares, and an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Specifically, the bonus and rights shares are expected to raise NPR 400 million, and the remaining NPR 100 million will be collected through the premium-priced IPO.

This capital expansion is in line with regulations set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), which governs the aviation sector in the country. Kailash has already submitted a proposal to the Securities Board of Nepal for issuing the IPO at a premium.

Transition to Public Limited Company

To facilitate the IPO, Kailash Helicopter has converted from a private to a public limited company. The board’s decision to transform into a public company was made on 31st Ashad 2080 BS. The company has appointed Muktinath Capital Limited as the issue manager for the IPO issuance and sale.

Operational History and Fleet Expansion

Kailash Helicopter Services began operations on 10th Chaitra 2074 BS (March 23, 2018) with two helicopters. Since then, the company has expanded its fleet to three Airbus AS 350 helicopters. Under CAAN guidelines, Kailash aims to operate a total of five helicopters within the next five years. The company added one more helicopter in Bhadra 2076 BS and plans to acquire at least two additional helicopters in the coming years.

Recognition and Achievements

The company was recognized by the government in 2077 BS for paying the highest income tax during the fiscal year 2075/076 BS. Kailash Helicopter has maintained a strong reputation in Nepal’s aviation sector for its compliance and operational excellence.

Financial Performance

The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of NPR 53, reflecting robust profitability. The proposed dividend, combined with the bonus shares, is expected to further enhance shareholder confidence and attract potential investors ahead of the IPO.

With its ongoing fleet expansion and capital-raising initiatives, Kailash Helicopter Services is positioning itself for significant growth in Nepal’s private aviation sector. The combination of cash dividends, bonus shares, and an upcoming IPO is expected to strengthen the company’s financial base, enabling it to expand services and maintain high operational standards.
