A Buddha Air aircraft slipped off the runway while landing at Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa on Thursday, causing concern among airport authorities and passengers. The aircraft reportedly moved slightly beyond the designated runway area during the landing process.
Authorities Confirm the Incident of Buddha Air
Jhapa Chief District Officer (CDO) Shivaram Gelal confirmed that the aircraft went slightly off the runway surface and that the incident is currently under investigation. He stated that concerned authorities are assessing the situation to determine the exact cause of the runway deviation.

Police Officials Provide Details
According to Koshi Province Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Binod Ghimire, the aircraft slid slightly below the runway while attempting to land. He added that security teams and airport officials promptly responded to the situation.

Airport authorities and aviation officials are working together to inspect the runway condition and review operational factors that may have contributed to the incident.
Authorities have confirmed that no passengers or crew members were harmed, and there has been no reported damage to the aircraft. All passengers were safely escorted, and normal operations are expected to resume after safety clearance.
