Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Limited Partners with Khwopa College of Engineering

Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Limited (BCCTL) has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE), a premier engineering institution operated under Bhaktapur Municipality, marking a significant step toward strengthening industry–academia partnerships and promoting practice-oriented engineering education. The agreement aims to promote practice-oriented engineering education while offering students structured exposure to real-world systems in cable car technology and tourism infrastructure.

The MoU signing ceremony took place on January 9, 2026 (25th Poush 2082), attended by key officials from both institutions. Representing Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) were Principal Sunil Duwal, Vice Principal Ratna Shova Prajapati, Ananda Kumar Mishra, Head of Civil Engineering Department, Dinesh Gothe, Head of Computer Engineering Department, and Gaurav Tamrakar, Deputy Head of Electrical Engineering Department. From Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Limited (BCCTL), the event included CEO Roman Man Shrestha and senior executives, reflecting the significance of the partnership.

Hands-On Learning for Engineering Students

Under the MoU, Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) students will gain practical insights into engineering systems applied in cable car operations and tourism infrastructure. The collaboration covers a wide range of technical areas, including cable car system engineering, structural and foundation design for towers and stations, electrical and communication systems, safety monitoring, transportation engineering principles, and risk management and emergency response protocols.

During the program, CEO Roman Man Shrestha presented an overview of Bandipur Cable Car & Tourism Limited (BCCTL)’s current operations and future expansion plans. Welcoming the BCCTL delegation, Principal Sunil Duwal emphasized the importance of industry exposure in developing competent engineers capable of contributing effectively to the workforce. Formal Signing and Witnessing

The MoU was formally signed on behalf of Khwopa College of Engineering by Er. Ramesh Bala, Head of the Placement Cell, with Er. Chandra Krishna Prajapati, Head of the Technical Section, as witness. Representing BCCTL, the agreement was signed by CEO Roman Man Shrestha, with Marketing Officer Tejendra Dhakal acting as witness.
