The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) formally extended a farewell to the Nepalese delegation participating in FITUR 2026 at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, marking a significant moment for Nepal’s private tourism sector. FITUR (Feria Internacional de Turismo), recognized as one of the world’s leading international tourism trade fairs, is scheduled to be held in Madrid, Spain, from January 21 to 25, 2026. Nepal’s participation in FITUR 2026 reflects a strong collective presence of the country’s tourism industry in the European and global markets. More than 30 tour and travel companies are representing Nepal, with over 50 tourism professionals and business representatives taking part. The delegation is departing for Madrid in phases, with some participants already having completed their travel, while the remaining representatives are scheduled to depart on various international flights starting from tomorrow. The overall coordination and leadership of Nepal’s participation at FITUR 2026 has been entrusted to Mr. Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Executive Board Member of NATTA, who is serving as the Coordinator of the delegation. Supporting him as Sub-Coordinator is Mr. Krishna Prasad Dhakal, also an Executive Board Member of NATTA. The program has been jointly organized by NATTA in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), demonstrating effective public-private partnership in international tourism promotion.

A formal farewell ceremony was held at Tribhuvan International Airport to bid warm wishes to the departing delegation. NATTA President Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya led the ceremony, accompanied by Vice President Mr. Ghanshyam Ghimire, General Secretary Ms. Yuvika Bhandari, Treasurer Mr. Suresh Amgai, Joint Treasurer Mr. Dhak Nath Kafle, and the Executive Chief of NATTA.
