Passenger traffic recorded an even more impressive increase, with the number of travelers rising by around 18.7 percent compared to the same period last year. The growth indicates improving demand for the airline’s services and a gradual recovery and expansion of travel activity. The airline noted that consistent services across destinations and improved capacity management enabled it to carry more passengers while maintaining operational stability.

Strong Flight Occupancy in Early 2026

From January to March, most of the corporation’s flights have been operating with high passenger loads, signaling sustained travel demand in the months ahead. This trend is expected to further support revenue generation and network performance if maintained.

Focus on Service Expansion and Market Strengthening

Speaking on the performance outlook, the corporation’s spokesperson Archana Khadka said the airline aims to continue this positive trajectory by expanding services and strengthening market management strategies. She emphasized that the airline is committed to enhancing operational efficiency, improving passenger services, and identifying new opportunities to sustain growth in the coming months.

With rising passenger confidence and better aircraft utilization, Nepal Airlines is positioning itself to build on the current momentum. The corporation plans to further consolidate its network and service delivery to maintain the upward trend and reinforce its role in supporting Nepal’s aviation and tourism sectors.
