NATTA Launches Culture & Heritage Tour Training Program in Madhesh Province

The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), in collaboration with the Sustainable Tourism Project (STP), a joint initiative of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and UNDP Nepal, has successfully launched the Culture & Heritage Tour Training Program at Hotel Shrestha Residency, Simara, Bara, Madhesh Province. The training runs from 19th March to 22nd March 2026 and aims to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of tourism professionals in cultural and heritage tourism.

The program is designed to equip tourism professionals with enhanced knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to better serve cultural and heritage tourism markets. Through a mix of theoretical sessions and hands-on activities, participants gain a deeper understanding of heritage management, cultural interpretation, and sustainable tourism practices that are crucial for promoting Nepal’s rich cultural landscape.

Distinguished Guests Inaugurate the Program

The opening session was attended by several distinguished guests, including NATTA Executive Member Mr. Yagya Murti Acharya, NATTA Madhesh Province President Mr. Mohan Sharma, and Mr. Yubraj Lama, among others. Their presence underscored the importance of capacity-building initiatives in the tourism sector and highlighted NATTA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening professional standards across the country.

Active Participation from Madhesh Province

Over 35 participants from Madhesh Province are actively participating in the intensive four-day training program. They engage in interactive sessions, practical exercises, and group discussions that focus on enhancing their understanding of cultural tourism, effective tour management, and sustainable practices. The program is coordinated by NATTA Executive Member Mrs. Shradha Joshi, ensuring smooth execution and impactful learning outcomes for all participants.
