Skywalk Tower Inaugurated in Bhedetar, Expected to Boost Tourism

The Skywalk Tower, which opened in Bhedetar on Friday, is poised to enhance tourism in the region. Spread over an area of 11 ropani in Saangurigadhi Rural Municipality Ward No. 6, the Skywalk Tower has added to the allure of Bhedetar, a well-known tourist destination in Koshi Province renowned for its picturesque setting.

Constructed with an investment of Rs 200 million, the Skywalk Tower was developed by Wonders Amusement Parks and Attractions Pvt. Ltd. Executive Director Sanjiv Rokaha announced that the tower will offer adventure sports such as bungee jumping, ziplining, and freefalling.

This is the company’s second skywalk project following the successful launch of a similar tower in Kamaladi, Kathmandu. The new Skywalk Tower is expected to play a significant role in Koshi Province’s 2082 Tourism Year, as declared by the Chief Minister of Koshi during the inauguration on Friday. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, Harkaraj Sampang, and the Chair of Saangurigadhi Rural Municipality, Jitendra Rumdali Rai.

Situated at the confluence of Sunsari and Dhankuta districts, the Skywalk is a 41-meter-long and two-meter-wide cantilever tower. It can accommodate up to 200 people at once, providing a thrilling glass bridge experience.

Nearly one thousand tourists, both foreign and domestic, have already visited the Skywalk Tower, enjoying the panoramic views of Dharan and the surrounding areas. This new attraction is expected to draw even more visitors, contributing significantly to the local tourism industry.
