Dawa Sherpa, a climbing guide who went missing near Camp III on Mount Everest, was found alive on Thursday morning after nearly a week-long disappearance.

Despite intensive helicopter search operations conducted around the suspected Camp III area on Wednesday, rescuers were unable to locate him.

Sherpa Found Near Khumbu Icefall
This morning, workers from the Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC) spotted him slowly crawling toward Everest Base Camp near Crampon Point in the Khumbu Icefall area. He was immediately rescued and provided urgent assistance.

Condition After Rescue
Authorities reported that Sherpa suffered severe frostbite on his fingers due to prolonged exposure in the extremely high-altitude conditions. His survival is being described as remarkable, given the harsh environment and duration of his disappearance.
