To extend visitor stays and highlight the cultural identity of the Thaha region, the resort has introduced specialized tourism packages focusing on religious and cultural experiences. Managing Director Govinda Maharjan said preparations are underway to promote the Bajrabarahi–Tistung–Palung hiking route, which connects the famous Bajrabarahi Temple with surrounding natural and cultural attractions. The packages will also include local arts, traditions, language, attire, and cultural performances, aiming to preserve and promote the region’s rich heritage while offering tourists an authentic cultural experience.

Speaking at the inauguration of the resort’s newly constructed swimming pool, tourism stakeholders emphasized the importance of infrastructure development in unlocking the potential of rural destinations. Officials highlighted that areas rich in natural and cultural resources require a balance between modern facilities and local authenticity to attract a wider range of tourists. Representatives also noted that tourism development should not remain limited to urban centers, and praised Tistung Resort as a positive example of rural tourism expansion.

Nepal Tourism Board Gandaki Province Chief Maniraj Lamichhane said that tourism infrastructure in rural areas plays a crucial role in promoting destinations with strong natural and cultural assets. He stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between modern amenities and local identity to attract both domestic and international visitors. Similarly, Hotel Association Nepal Central President Shankar Bhandari emphasized the need to expand tourism beyond cities into rural communities. He described Tistung Resort as an encouraging model for rural tourism development in Nepal.
