Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has announced a revenue collection of Rs 4 million for the fiscal year 2080/81 BS. According to Binaya Kumar Mishra, Assistant Conservation Officer of the Wildlife Reserve, this revenue was generated from various sources including jungle safari royalties, eco-tourism, penalties, elephant rides, and other activities.

The largest portion of this revenue came from ticket sales to visitors. The eastern belt of the Wildlife Reserve has emerged as a popular destination for academic excursions, further boosting its revenue.

For tourists from SAARC member states, the entry fee is Rs 750, while visitors from other countries are charged Rs 1,500 for a 12-hour visit. This fee structure supports the reserve’s efforts to promote sustainable tourism and conservation initiatives.
