The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Nepal Chapter, the Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), and the Government of Switzerland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop a Tourism Crisis Management Handbook for Nepal, marking a significant step towards building a more resilient tourism sector.

Supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC/FDFA), the initiative seeks to strengthen crisis preparedness and resilience among Nepal’s tourism stakeholders. The handbook will provide practical guidance to help the tourism industry better prepare for, respond to, and recover from various crises and emergencies.
