The Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Gandaki has delivered relief and rescue materials to flood-affected communities in Tupche, Bidur Municipality-7 of Nuwakot.
A TAAN Gandaki team reached the affected ward and distributed essential supplies, including clothing, tents, food items, cooking utensils, ropes, and other necessary materials to residents affected by the recent flooding.
Relief Materials Transported Through Gorkha–Aarughat Route
According to TAAN Gandaki President Krishna Prasad Acharya, the association took the initiative to provide essential items to communities facing difficulties following the disaster.
The relief team travelled to Tupche through the Gorkha–Aarughat route to reach the affected area and deliver the materials directly at the local ward level.
Acharya said the support was aimed at addressing the immediate needs of flood-affected residents and contributing to ongoing relief and recovery efforts in the affected communities.
Tourism Sector Stands in Solidarity
TAAN Gandaki said tourism-sector stakeholders should extend support to communities affected by natural disasters during times of crisis. The association’s relief initiative reflects its commitment to supporting local communities beyond tourism activities and contributing to emergency response efforts.
The team handed over the relief materials locally to ensure that essential supplies reached affected families directly and could be used according to their immediate needs.
