The Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA) has received 25 knot bolts from IFMGA/NNMGA Mountain Guide Chhiring Sherpa, providing valuable equipment support for rock climbing activities and the development of professional mountain guide training in Nepal.
NNMGA expressed its sincere appreciation to Sherpa, a member of the 2016 Mountain Guide batch, for his generous contribution toward strengthening climbing infrastructure and training activities.
Contribution to Support Rock Climbing Route Development
Knot bolts are among the commonly used pieces of equipment for equipping and developing rock climbing routes. The donated equipment is expected to support climbing activities and contribute to the improvement of training facilities used by aspiring and professional mountain guides.
According to NNMGA, the contribution will help enhance the association’s ability to conduct rock climbing-related activities and develop routes suitable for professional training.
Supporting IFMGA-Standard Mountain Guide Courses
NNMGA said the contribution will also play an important role in the continued development and delivery of IFMGA-standard Mountain Guide courses in Nepal.
The association emphasized that adequate technical equipment and climbing infrastructure are essential for delivering quality mountain guide training and maintaining international standards.
The contribution reflects the role of experienced mountain guides and industry professionals in supporting the development of Nepal’s professional mountain guiding sector.
