The interaction provided a common platform for tourism and aviation stakeholders to exchange views on the importance of the Pokhara-Dubai air connection and discuss the role each sector can play in supporting the service. Representatives from tourism organizations, travel companies, tourism institutions and the airline highlighted the need for coordinated efforts to build awareness of the new route and encourage greater use of the international connection by travelers.

Stakeholders Rally To Sustain Flydubai’s Pokhara Dubai Flights

The participation of tour operators, tourism authorities, airline representatives and media professionals reflected the wider tourism sector’s interest in making the new international service successful. Rather than treating the flight connection as the responsibility of the airline alone, participants emphasized the importance of collective involvement, with tourism businesses and institutions working together to promote Pokhara and communicate the availability of the new route to potential visitors and international travel markets.

Joint Effort Seen As Key To Flight Sustainability

The discussion reached common ground on the need for collective responsibility and sustained cooperation to support both the inaugural service and future scheduled flights operated by flydubai. Stakeholders expressed the view that the long term sustainability of the route will depend on the combined efforts of the airline, tourism industry and relevant institutions, particularly in generating awareness and demand for the international connection.

Tour and travel operators can contribute by incorporating the new connection into their travel arrangements and promoting Pokhara as an accessible international destination, while tourism organizations and institutions can strengthen destination promotion and coordination. Participants indicated that such cooperation could help create stronger demand for the service and support the continuity of the Pokhara Dubai connection over the long term.

Pokhara Seeks Stronger International Tourism Reach

The international connection with Dubai is significant for Pokhara’s efforts to expand its international tourism reach, particularly as the city seeks to strengthen its position as a destination with improved international air access. A direct international connection can provide travelers with another option for reaching Pokhara and could help tourism businesses in Gandaki Province connect more effectively with international visitors and travel markets.

The new service also presents opportunities for local tour and travel companies to develop and promote travel packages centered on Pokhara and other destinations in Gandaki Province. Better connectivity can support the movement of international tourists while also creating greater opportunities for hotels, travel agencies, guides and other tourism-related businesses, making the effective promotion and utilization of the route important for the wider regional tourism economy.

Stakeholders Commit To Supporting Future Services

The September 7 program highlighted the importance of close and continued coordination among flydubai, tourism organizations, government-related institutions, private sector operators and the media as the airline moves forward with its Pokhara Dubai services. Stakeholders agreed that cooperation across these sectors will be necessary to maintain momentum around the new connection and to ensure that the benefits of improved international connectivity reach the wider tourism industry.

The shared focus of the participants was not limited to the successful launch of the service but also extended to making the future scheduled flights sustainable and successful. Continued promotion, coordination and involvement from tourism stakeholders could help strengthen passenger demand and establish the Pokhara Dubai connection as a lasting addition to Pokhara’s international aviation network, further supporting the city’s ambitions to expand its role as a gateway for international tourism.
