Seven Key Partnerships to Bolster Aircraft Maintenance

The airline group’s new partnerships with Thales, Airbus Flight Hour Services (FHS), Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), The Boeing Company and Collins Aerospace are all aimed at improving aircraft component availability and repair, technical expertise and materials management to enhance fleet maintenance and operations.

In addition to its work with other aviation groups and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers, MAG’s partnership with CEVA Logistics will provide end to end logistics support to meet day to day aircraft maintenance and operational needs, including component and critical material supply, storage and distribution.

Enhancing Operations and Building Maintenance Expertise

MAG’s announced partnerships are part of its wider strategy to develop an integrated and robust maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and engineering platform, with improved access to component support, technical expertise and materials management capabilities playing a central role in delivering that goal. By building greater access to specialist expertise and engineering resources, as well as enhancing its supply-chain networks, MAG is set to further improve the reliability of its aircraft maintenance services to address the ongoing challenges being faced by the aviation sector.

He said,“Our partnerships combine the expertise and supply chain capabilities of key players with our technical and engineering competencies, and are critical to our growth strategy as we evolve as an integrated aviation group.”

Strengthening MAB Engineering Services

As part of MAG’s broader strategy to develop its engineering services business and reinforce its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) platform, the group will also look to expand the role played by MAB Engineering Services in providing maintenance, repair and overhaul services to external airline customers.

The group has announced an increased collaboration with Batik Air Malaysia, building on MAB Engineering Services’ existing line maintenance capabilities at multiple locations, in support of the operator’s evolving needs. MAG noted that the deepened partnership reflected increased confidence in the capabilities of its MAB Engineering Services division across the industry.

Supporting Long Term Aviation Growth Strategy

Overall, the seven announced partnerships are expected to strengthen MAG’s aircraft maintenance and repair operations and reinforce its broader engineering and MRO capabilities with the support of international partners. In building more integrated and reliable aircraft maintenance processes, the group will be enhancing its ability to support the ongoing needs of the aviation sector, despite the industry’s many ongoing challenges.

The partnerships, announced at Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Asia Pacific 2026 in Singapore, represent a key step in MAG’s long-term growth strategy for its engineering business, which will be strengthened in turn by its efforts across other areas of the aviation sector. With its recent announcements of increased flights and expanded services, MAG is working to further its presence across the industry. However, the airline has not announced new destinations or services at this time.
