Emirates Opens New Tokyo Travel Store to Boost Japan Tourism Connectivity

Emirates has expanded its presence in Japan with the official opening of a dedicated travel store in Tokyo, strengthening its customer services and supporting growing travel demand between Japan and destinations worldwide. Located in Otemachi, a major business and commercial district in central Tokyo, the new facility provides travelers with personalized assistance for flight bookings, travel information, and itinerary planning. The opening reflects Emirates’ continued investment in the Japanese market and its efforts to make international travel more accessible and convenient for both Japanese residents and overseas visitors.

New Tokyo Store Enhances Personalized Travel Services

The Emirates Travel Store was officially inaugurated on October 14, 2026, during a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by airline executives, diplomatic representatives, aviation officials, travel industry professionals, and members of the media. Among those present were His Excellency Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Japan; Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Far East and Satish Sethi, the airline’s Country Manager for Japan. The event also welcomed Tetsuya Mori, Director of the International Air Transport Division at Japan’s Civil Aviation Bureau, highlighting the store’s significance within the country’s aviation and travel industry.

The Tokyo outlet follows the successful opening of the Emirates Travel Store in Osaka in July 2025, marking another step in the airline’s expansion of its customer facing services in Japan. Designed to serve customers across the greater Tokyo area, the store offers support from multilingual travel consultants who can assist Japanese and international travelers with bookings, travel related inquiries, and personalized itineraries. The facility aims to provide a convenient point of contact for customers seeking information about Emirates’ international network and travel offerings.

Modern Facilities Designed Around the Traveler

The new store combines contemporary design with a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, featuring soft beige lounge chairs and modern furnishings. Beyond its appearance, the space incorporates practical features intended to improve the customer experience, including a self service kiosk and a personalized queue management system. These facilities are designed to make visits more convenient while allowing customers to receive assistance suited to their individual travel needs.

The store also features a selfie mirror with backgrounds representing popular destinations served by Emirates, alongside a display of the airline’s Boeing 777 Business Class seat. These elements allow visitors to explore aspects of the airline’s travel experience before departure. Located on the first floor of Otemachi One at 1-2-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda ku, Tokyo, the store operates Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and remains closed on weekends and public holidays.

Emirates Expands Flight Connectivity Across Japan

Japan remains an important strategic market for Emirates, which operates direct services connecting the country with its international hub in Dubai. The airline currently serves Narita International Airport, Tokyo Haneda Airport, and Kansai International Airport in Osaka. According to the announcement, Emirates is scheduled to increase services to Narita from October 26, 2026, bringing its total passenger operations to and from Japan to 28 flights per week.

The additional service, operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, is expected to provide more than 300 passenger seats in each direction, alongside an additional 20 tonnes of daily cargo capacity. The expansion is intended to accommodate growing travel demand while offering passengers departing Japan greater choice and flexibility. Improved flight availability can also support tourism by making it easier for international visitors to reach Japan and for Japanese travelers to connect with destinations throughout Emirates’ global network.

Stronger Air Links Support Japan’s Tourism Growth

The opening of the Tokyo travel store and the planned increase in Narita services demonstrate Emirates broader strategy of combining customer support with stronger international connectivity. For travelers, access to multilingual assistance and additional flight options can make the process of planning international journeys more convenient. The airline’s investment also reinforces the importance of Japan within its wider network linking Asia with the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and other global markets.

As international travel demand continues to evolve, airlines are increasingly combining digital booking options with in person services to meet different customer preferences. Emirates new Tokyo outlet adds another point of engagement for travelers while supporting the airline’s commercial presence in Japan. With expanded customer services and additional flights planned, the initiative could further strengthen travel connections between Japan and destinations around the world, supporting tourism, business travel, and broader international exchange. For flight bookings and further information, travelers can visit Emirates’ official website or contact the airline through its travel stores and authorized travel agents.
