Bagmati Province Committee Discusses Unresolved Expenses with Minister of Forests and Environment

The Industry, Tourism, and Environment Committee under the Bagmati Provincial Assembly held discussions today with the Provincial Minister for Forests and Environment, Krishna Silwal, regarding unresolved expenses within the ministry.

The committee meeting, which took place at 2 PM, invited Minister Silwal to discuss the status of these unresolved expenses and the efforts being made to address them. Committee Chair Anand Kumar Shrestha informed that the meeting focused on the current situation and ongoing efforts to resolve the financial discrepancies within the ministry.

During the discussion, Minister Silwal emphasized his commitment to good governance and transparency since assuming office. He assured the committee that he is actively working to reduce the unresolved expenses within the ministry, according to Chair Shrestha.

The discussion with the Minister of Forests and Environment concluded today, and tomorrow the committee is scheduled to meet with the Provincial Minister for Industry, Commerce, Land, and Administration, Sukmaya Tamang, to discuss the unresolved expenses in her ministry.

Following the discussions with the ministers of both ministries, the committee will begin clause-by-clause deliberation on the “Provincial Handicraft Village Establishment and Operation Bill, 2080” starting tomorrow.

Although the bill was registered with the committee in October 2080, its discussion has been delayed due to a change in government and budget issues. Chair Shrestha mentioned that the upcoming meeting will focus on the bill’s clauses and the amendment proposals submitted by members of the Provincial Assembly.
