The Jyapu Kalyan Training Center, constructed by Jyapu Samaj Yala for the preservation of art, culture, and heritage, has officially been inaugurated today. The center, located in Lalitpur, was opened by the Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Chiribabu Maharjan.
The land for the center, generously donated by Chirime Maharjan, was utilized with the support of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City, ward offices, and various other organizations. The center was built for NPR 30 million and will serve as a hub for training programs focused on the preservation of art, culture, and heritage, according to Jyapu Samaj Yala. The donated land spans an area of 10 aana, 1 paisa, and 2 dams.
During the inauguration, Mayor Maharjan pledged that all training programs offered by the metropolis would be conducted at the new facility. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the center for programs related to the preservation of art, culture, and heritage, and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Maharjan family for their noble contribution of land.
Rishidev Phuyal, Chairman of the District Coordination Committee, Lalitpur, expressed his happiness over the establishment of the training center dedicated to preserving art, culture, and heritage, and extended his thanks to all those involved in this virtuous endeavor.
Tulasi Bahadur Shrestha, Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, expressed his satisfaction with the construction of the building for skill development training and suggested that the training should be linked to income-generating activities.
Arozkumar Khadgi, Chairman of Ward No. 11, Lalitpur, expressed his joy at having the Jyapu Kalyan Training Center built in his ward and committed to providing maximum support for the training programs.
Tirtha Maharjan, President of Jyapu Samaj Yala, stated that the Jyapu Kalyan Training Center is a source of pride for all residents of the metropolis. He thanked Chirime Maharjan and his family for their generous land donation and vowed to fully utilize the building for the preservation of tangible and intangible heritage, art, and culture.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Prem Krishna Maharjan, a leader of the Nepali Congress, and Harikrishna Byanjankar, a leader of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML). Certificates of appreciation were awarded to those who contributed to the construction of the building.
