The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index experienced a marked decline today, closing at 2,695.93 points, a drop of 53.63 points or 1.95% from the previous session. This follows a previous session where the index fell by 36.83 points, ending at 2,749.57 points.
Today’s trading commenced with the index at 2,749.68 points and saw considerable fluctuations, peaking at 2,781.75 points and dipping to a low of 2,686.61 points before settling at the final figure.
The Hotel and Tourism Index also faced a significant downturn, closing at 6,942.34 points, down 213.34 points or 2.98% from the last session’s close of 7,155.68 points.
The index began the day at 7,185 points, fluctuating throughout the trading session. It reached an intraday high of 7,232.63 points and fell to a low of 6,893.04 points before closing at the final value.
