In a significant move to address contemporary issues in the tourism sector, the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Honorable Badri Prasad Pandey, was presented with a 16-point memorandum during the “Pokhara Tourism Capital Policy Dialogue” program. The memorandum was formally handed over by the President and the immediate Past President of the Pokhara Tourism Council.
The event, held in Pokhara, brought together key stakeholders in the tourism industry to discuss the current challenges and opportunities facing Pokhara, which is often referred to as the tourism capital of Nepal. The memorandum highlighted urgent matters that require the federal government’s attention to bolster the tourism sector and ensure its sustainable growth.
The 16-point memorandum addressed various pressing issues, including the need for infrastructure development, better connectivity, enhanced promotional activities, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
