The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has suspended all domestic flights until Saturday morning due to unfavorable weather conditions caused by continuous heavy rainfall.
In a notice issued on Friday evening, the CAAN stated that all internal flights departing from Tribhuvan International Airport are postponed until further notice on Saturday morning.
“All domestic flights have been suspended until Saturday morning due to adverse weather conditions,” the CAAN announced.
Additionally, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has requested that no night buses operate on Friday and Saturday, citing safety concerns.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall has been occurring across various parts of the country since Thursday night, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures.
