In line with the government’s policy to foster national prosperity through economic diplomacy, Nepal participated in the 34th International Tourism Fair held at Palais des Congrès in Montreal, Canada, from Kartik 16 to 18. The event aimed to promote Nepal’s tourism and showcase its unique cultural heritage on an international platform.
The Embassy of Nepal in Ottawa set up a dedicated exhibition booth at the Palais des Congrès, where they presented promotional documentaries and other materials detailing Nepal’s top tourist destinations. Visitors were provided with these materials to enhance their understanding of Nepal’s tourism offerings.
According to the Embassy, the Nepal booth displayed a variety of Nepalese handicrafts, including woodcrafts, Thangka paintings, Pashmina shawls, tea, coffee, and other export products that represent the nation’s rich cultural heritage. A large number of visitors showed great interest in the exhibition, not only viewing Nepal’s products but also gaining valuable information about its tourist destinations.
Through its participation, Nepal aimed to raise international awareness about its tourism potential and attract travelers from Canada and beyond.
