International Flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport on Saturday: Details of Operations

Three airlines are scheduled to operate international flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport, Bhairahawa, on Saturday. The flights will run from early morning until late evening, as per the airport’s set timetable.

According to Pratap Babu Tiwari, General Manager of the airport, the first arrival will be Jazeera Airways from Kuwait, expected to land at 7:30 a.m. The flight is scheduled to depart back at 8:30 a.m. with nearly full occupancy, indicating strong demand for this route.

At noon, Flydubai’s aircraft will arrive in Bhairahawa and then proceed to Kathmandu before heading back to Dubai with additional passengers boarding in the capital. Additionally, Nepal Airlines, originally scheduled to fly on Friday, has rescheduled its flight to Saturday due to technical reasons. This flight will land in Bhairahawa from Kathmandu and then depart for Dubai.

Tiwari explained that, as these flights are still new, some flights have fewer passengers, as travelers adjust to the updated schedules. However, Jazeera Airways, having previously operated flights, has already established a steady flow of passengers.

On Friday, Thai Air Asia also operated a flight from Bangkok, carrying seven passengers to Bhairahawa and departing with 32 passengers. Thai Air Asia currently has approval for bi-weekly flights on Mondays and Thursdays, providing a convenient travel option between Bhairahawa and Bangkok.

This increased activity at Gautam Buddha International Airport highlights its growing importance as a hub for international flights, enhancing travel options and connectivity for Nepal’s Lumbini region.
