Bianca Adler Achieves Historic Everest Summit as Youngest Australian

Australian mountaineer Bianca Jane Adler has become the youngest Australian to summit Mount Everest, successfully reaching the top of the world’s highest peak on Wednesday morning under favourable weather conditions.

According to Seven Summit Treks Expedition Director Chhang Dawa Sherpa, the 18-year-old climber reached the 8,848.86-metre summit on May 20, 2026, accompanied by Nepali guides Pemba Chhiring Sherpa and Ngudu Sherpa.

Growing Mountaineering Legacy

Bianca’s latest achievement adds another milestone to her rapidly growing mountaineering career. In 2024, at just 16 years old, she became the youngest female climber to summit Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest mountain, earning a Guinness World Record.

Her Everest success also continues a family legacy of Himalayan climbing. Bianca’s mother, Fionna Adler, summited Everest in 2006, while her father, Paul Adler, followed in 2007.
