Dusit Princess Kathmandu kicked off the festive season last Friday with its highly anticipated Annual Cake-Mixing Ceremony, drawing a distinguished crowd of esteemed guests. The event was graced by the presence of Thai Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Suwapong Sirisorn, and Suphajee Suthumpun, CEO of Dusit International, among other notable dignitaries.
The ceremony, which lasted for an hour, involved the traditional mixing of fruits, spices, and spirits—an age-old ritual symbolizing prosperity and good fortune. The vibrant occasion was followed by a specially curated Nepali-Thai lunch, accompanied by live music and refreshing beverages.
Cluster General Manager Samir Banerjee took a moment to express his gratitude, stating, “This ceremony reflects our commitment to fostering community, honoring traditions, and spreading joy. It is a privilege to have such eminent guests join us in welcoming the season of celebration.”
The event served as a platform for building community bonds, bringing together influencers, diplomats, media personalities, and other distinguished guests under one roof. Prathana Sen, the hotel’s marketing manager, shared that the mixture created during the ceremony will be used to bake special cakes for Christmas and New Year celebrations. “The Cake-Mixing Ceremony is a symbol of prosperity and good luck. Guests will also receive the mixture as a token of love,” Sen added.
The ceremony, a blend of traditional customs and modern elegance, highlighted Dusit Princess Kathmandu’s commitment to fostering a sense of togetherness during the festive season. This unique celebration marks not just the beginning of the holidays but also the hotel’s dedication to creating meaningful experiences that connect culture with community. Dusit Princess Kathmandu continues to redefine festive celebrations in the heart of the city, offering an extraordinary and colorful experience for all.
