To enhance its public engagement and global communication strategy, Everest Summiteers Summit has formally appointed Ms. Kabita Nepali as its Public Relations (PR) Representative for the Everest Summiteers Summit 2026. The appointment was confirmed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a press meet held at Aarya Hotel & Spa, Kathmandu.
The agreement marks an important milestone in preparations for the upcoming summit, which is scheduled to be held on 27 May 2026 in Kathmandu, coinciding with International Everest Day.
Formalization of Strategic Partnership
The press meet was organized specifically to formalize the MoU between Everest Summiteers Summit and Ms. Nepali. This follows an earlier press conference by Everest Alliance Nepal, during which the dates, vision, and objectives of the Everest Summiteers Summit 2026 were unveiled, and the official registration process for participants was launched.
Organizers stated that the latest agreement represents a strategic step toward strengthening the Summit’s communication, outreach, and stakeholder engagement at both national and international levels.

A Voice Shaped by Experience
Ms. Kabita Nepali is widely recognized for her remarkable mountaineering achievement, having successfully summited Mount Everest on 18 May 2025. Her journey has been celebrated as a symbol of perseverance, discipline, and determination, inspiring a new generation of climbers and environmental advocates.
Everest Alliance Nepal emphasized that her appointment reflects its commitment to engaging credible and experienced voices that authentically represent the values of mountaineering, environmental stewardship, and responsible tourism.
Roles and Responsibilities
Under the MoU, Ms. Nepali will play a multifaceted role in supporting the Summit’s mission. Her responsibilities include representing Everest Alliance Nepal and the Everest Summiteers Summit at national and international platforms, strengthening media relations, and supporting strategic public outreach initiatives.
She will also actively advocate for sustainable mountaineering practices, improved waste management systems, and the conservation of fragile mountain ecosystems. Additionally, the collaboration aims to promote responsible tourism and raise environmental awareness across the Himalayan region.
Commitment Beyond Ceremony
Speaking at the event, representatives of Everest Alliance Nepal highlighted that the partnership goes beyond a ceremonial association. They noted that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to safeguarding the Himalayas while amplifying responsible narratives surrounding mountain ecosystems, climate change, and tourism sustainability.
“The Everest Summiteers Summit is not just a celebration of achievement, but a platform for meaningful dialogue and action,” the organizers stated, underscoring the importance of trusted voices in shaping global conversations about the future of high-altitude environments.
A Growing Global Platform
Initiated by Everest Alliance Nepal, the Everest Summiteers Summit has emerged as a global platform bringing together Everest summiteers, policymakers, conservation experts, industry leaders, diplomats, and international partners.
The first edition, held in 2025 at Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu, drew participation from 154 Everest summiteers representing 12 countries. The event also welcomed government officials, diplomatic missions, conservation institutions and received extensive coverage from national and international media.

Vision for the 2026 Edition
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the Everest Summiteers Summit 2026 aims to further deepen discussions on pressing global issues such as climate change, sustainable tourism, waste management, and the long-term conservation of mountain ecosystems.
Organizers believe the 2026 summit will reinforce Nepal’s leadership in global mountain discourse, positioning the country as a key voice in international environmental and sustainability dialogues.
Everest Alliance Nepal has acknowledged the critical role of the media in amplifying issues related to mountain sustainability and conservation. The organization expressed its sincere appreciation to the media fraternity for their continued support and collaboration in highlighting responsible mountaineering practices and environmental protection.
With preparations gaining momentum, the Summit is expected to attract a broader range of international participants, strengthening Nepal’s role as a global hub for mountain advocacy and sustainable tourism leadership.
