A fire erupted at the Woodland Hotel located in Durbar Marg, Kathmandu at around 10:15 am today, according to the District Police Range, Kathmandu. Authorities immediately rushed to the scene as the flames spread across parts of the building.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramesh Thapa, Chief of the District Police Range, confirmed that efforts to control the fire are ongoing. “The Nepal Police and the city fire brigade are actively working to contain the fire and ensure the safety of residents and hotel guests,” SSP Thapa stated.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Investigations are underway to understand how the incident started. Authorities have urged nearby residents and businesses to remain cautious while emergency teams continue their work.
