The plane carrying Foreign Minister Arzu Rana was diverted to Kolkata after it couldn’t land in Kathmandu due to bad weather.

According to Rana’s advisor, Ekraj Pathak, the flight from Doha via Qatar Airways landed in Kolkata. Despite several attempts to land in Kathmandu, the weather didn’t cooperate, so the plane was diverted to Kolkata.

Rana was returning home from a United Nations meeting in Geneva. Due to the influence of a western low-pressure system, there was light rainfall in the Kathmandu Valley this morning.
