The Gajendramokshanarayan-Muktinath-Chariot Festival has arrived in the tourism capital, Pokhara. The chariot was welcomed and honored by Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya at Bhandardhik in Pokhara.

The chariot journey, which began from Gajendramokshanarayan Dham, will reach the sacred religious site of Muktinath and culminate in a grand yajna that will last for six months.

This chariot procession and the six-month Muktinath Mahayajna will involve the offering of soil and flowers collected from devotees during the journey. Mayor Acharya believes that the event will significantly contribute to the promotion of religious tourism in Pokhara.

The chariot procession and the six-month Muktinath Mahayajna are expected to benefit Pokhara both directly and indirectly, according to Muktinath Baba, the organizer of the yajna. The chariot procession will circle Pokhara on Wednesday before departing for Baglung.
