The Global Airports Forum (GAF) 2026) is set to strengthen its position as Saudi Arabia’s leading platform for airport business, aviation innovation, and industry collaboration when it returns to the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Centre from November 30 to December 1, 2026. The two-day event will bring together airport operators, civil aviation authorities, infrastructure developers, investors, government agencies, and technology providers to discuss the future of airport development and explore new business opportunities across the global aviation sector.
Airport Excellence Awards Return
A major highlight of this year’s forum will be the return of the Airport Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding organizations, projects, and individuals for their contributions to the aviation industry. The 2026 awards will feature 10 categories, including a newly introduced Facility Performance and Optimization category. Other award categories cover air connectivity and route development, airport infrastructure, security, aviation training, baggage handling, ground support solutions, technology, passenger experience, and sustainability. Organizers noted that the awards continue to gain prominence, with the previous edition attracting more than 200 nominations and honoring 38 winners, reflecting the industry’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

Expanded Business and Networking Opportunities
The upcoming edition will also introduce an expanded VIP Buyers Programme, connecting exhibitors with airport executives, procurement leaders, project owners, and government stakeholders seeking solutions for airport expansion, digital transformation, sustainability, and enhanced passenger services. In addition, the enhanced Business Engagement Programme will facilitate scheduled one-to-one meetings before and during the event, enabling participants to build partnerships, explore investment opportunities, and strengthen commercial relationships.

International Participation to Increase
Global Airports Forum 2026 is expected to attract participants from Saudi Arabia, the GCC, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Africa, and Asia. Confirmed participants include major aviation organizations such as Tibah Airports, Red Sea Global, NEOM, King Salman International Airport, Riyadh Airports Company, Bahrain Airport Company, and Hamad International Airport. The forum will also feature national pavilions from Italy, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, showcasing the latest technologies, airport infrastructure solutions, and innovations that will shape the future of global airport development.

Platform for the Future of Aviation
Speaking about the event, Daksha Patel, Event Director of Global Airports Forum, said the forum has evolved beyond a conventional exhibition into a comprehensive platform for collaboration across the aviation industry. She said the event brings together airport operators, aviation authorities, infrastructure developers, investors, and solution providers to exchange ideas, establish partnerships, and explore opportunities that will support the future growth of aviation. She added that the Airport Excellence Awards further reinforce this mission by recognizing organizations and individuals driving meaningful progress and innovation across the global airport industry.
With an expanded programme, broader international participation, and a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and business collaboration, Global Airports Forum 2026 is expected to play a significant role in advancing airport development and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional hub for the aviation industry.
