Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu’s Parent Company Swornim Hotel Limited Concludes AGM

Swornim Hotel Limited, the owning company of Holiday Inn Express Kathmandu operated under the brand and management of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has successfully conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the fiscal year 2081/82.
The AGM unanimously elected a new Board of Directors.

Naresh Lal Shrestha has been re-elected as the Chairperson of the Board, while Maheshwor Shrestha (Senior) has been appointed as the Managing Director. Similarly, Nilima Shrestha and Ghanshyam Thapa have been selected as board members. Representing Nepal Life Investment Company Ltd., Binaya Bhandari has been elected as a director, and Sworupa Shrestha has been appointed as an independent director.

Swornim Hotel Announces Major Expansion with New Building

The company has unveiled its plan to construct a new building aimed at expanding its services.
The upcoming structure will include a banquet hall, swimming pool, and spa facilities. Upon completion, the hotel is expected to be upgraded to a four-star category, significantly enhancing its hospitality offerings in Kathmandu.

Chairperson Highlights Vision for Superior Guest Experience

Addressing the AGM, Chairperson Naresh Lal Shrestha stated that the company’s primary goal is to operate a modern, fully equipped hotel and deliver the best guest experience in Kathmandu. “With the construction of the new building and service expansion, we are confident that we will elevate ourselves to a four-star standard and offer an even richer experience to our guests,” he said.

IPO Process Underway

Swornim Hotel Limited has also initiated preparations to issue an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The company has already submitted the application to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), marking the beginning of the formal process.
