A new boutique hospitality destination has officially come into operation at Begnas Lake in Ward No. 31 of Pokhara, with the launch of Hotel Begnas Bungalow. The Hotel Begnas Bungalow began its formal operations on Baishakh 1, 2083, coinciding with the Nepali New Year. Designed in a neo-classical bungalow architectural style, the property aims to offer a blend of aesthetic appeal and modern comfort in one of Pokhara’s emerging lakeside tourism corridors.
Modern Facilities with Luxury Accommodation
The newly opened hotel features 15 modern deluxe rooms equipped with air conditioning, mini-bars, and 24-hour hot and cold water facilities. The property has been developed to cater to both domestic and international tourists seeking premium lakeside accommodation.
In addition to guest rooms, Hotel Begnas Bungalow offers a range of amenities, including a swimming pool, four independent cottages, an air-conditioned banquet hall, and dedicated parking facilities. The hotel also provides diverse dining options, serving Nepali, Indian, and continental cuisines based on guest preferences.
Phased Development After Post-COVID Construction
The hotel project was initiated shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic, with its first phase officially opened in Ashadh 2080. The second phase of development has now been completed, expanding the property into a fully functional boutique resort.
According to operator Rajan Ranabhat, the expansion was guided by the growing demand from both domestic and international tourists in the Begnas area. He stated that the hotel was designed to meet evolving hospitality needs while maintaining a strong connection with nature and local culture.

Ranabhat, who has completed formal studies in hotel management, brings extensive professional experience from Nepal and Japan’s star-rated hotels. He noted that the hotel has already received encouraging feedback since its soft opening, with positive responses from visitors and stakeholders alike. He expressed confidence that the property will contribute to strengthening Begnas Lake’s identity as a peaceful yet premium tourism destination in Pokhara.
New Year Celebration Marked by Cultural Program
Following the official launch on Tuesday, an evening celebration was organized at the hotel premises featuring live performances and entertainment programs. The event included musical acts by content creators and performers such as Mari Vlogs, Sandip Bhandari, and DJ Dura, adding a festive atmosphere to the inauguration.
