Hotel Garima Limited Launches Public Share Issuance in Koshi Province

Hotel Garima Limited, the owner of the prestigious five-star Soaltee Westend Itahari, has announced a major step to expand investment opportunities and promote transparency in the hospitality sector of Eastern Nepal. The company will issue 40 lakh ordinary shares, each with a face value of NPR 100, totaling NPR 40 crore, for public subscription. The issuance aims to attract both institutional and individual investors interested in Nepal’s growing hospitality and tourism industry.

To manage this significant public offering, Hotel Garima Limited has appointed Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited as the issue and sales manager. A formal agreement for the share issuance was signed on Poush 25, 2082, at Laxmi Sunrise Capital’s office in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, between Mr. Binod Paudel, Managing Director of Hotel Garima Limited, and Mr. Bijaya Lal Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited. The agreement lays the groundwork for the upcoming public share issuance.

Strengthening Hospitality and Tourism in Koshi Province

The public share issuance by Hotel Garima Limited reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable growth, corporate transparency, and the development of Nepal’s hospitality and tourism sectors, particularly in the Koshi Province. As a property managed by the Soaltee Hotel & Resorts Group, Soaltee Westend Itahari has set a benchmark for five-star hospitality outside the capital region, offering investors and visitors a premium experience.

The hotel features a total of 82 rooms, including a Royal Suite, eight suites, eight executive rooms, 58 deluxe rooms, and seven studio rooms. Beyond accommodation, the property provides comprehensive facilities such as two banquet halls, three seminar halls, a Thai-inspired spa, a gym, and a café-lounge restaurant. These facilities not only cater to high-end guests but also strengthen the property’s positioning as a premium lifestyle and business destination.

Public Offering: Opportunities and Investor Significance

By issuing shares to the public, Hotel Garima Limited aims to expand its shareholder base while allowing investors to participate directly in the hospitality sector’s growth. The NPR 40 crore capital mobilization is expected to support ongoing and future development projects, upgrade services, and further enhance operational efficiency.

The move also aligns with the company’s broader vision to contribute to Koshi Province’s economic development, generate employment, and promote tourism investment. The public offering provides a strategic opportunity for both local and international investors to acquire a stake in one of Nepal’s leading five-star hospitality ventures.

Management and Strategic Vision

Speaking about the share issuance, Mr. Binod Paudel, Managing Director of Hotel Garima Limited, emphasized, “This initiative demonstrates our commitment to transparent corporate governance and expanding investment opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sectors. We are confident that the public participation in this share issuance will strengthen our financial base and accelerate the growth of Soaltee Westend Itahari.”

From the perspective of the issue manager, Mr. Bijaya Lal Shrestha, CEO of Laxmi Sunrise Capital Limited, noted, “The public offering of Hotel Garima Limited’s shares represents a unique opportunity for investors to participate in the development of a high-standard hospitality project in Eastern Nepal. The offering is structured to attract a broad range of investors, including institutional participants and high-net-worth individuals, reflecting the growing confidence in Nepal’s hospitality sector.”

Enhancing Investment Confidence and Sector Growth

Soaltee Westend Itahari’s public share issuance comes at a time when Nepal’s hospitality and tourism industry is gaining renewed momentum. With the Koshi Province emerging as a key tourism hub, investments in premium hotel properties like Soaltee Westend provide both revenue potential and long-term capital appreciation.

The hotel’s affiliation with the Soaltee Hotel & Resorts Group ensures international-quality management standards, making the investment proposition even more attractive. For investors, the issuance offers a “pre-IPO” style opportunity to engage with a hospitality asset that combines operational profitability with growth potential in a rapidly developing tourism region.

With the public share issuance, Hotel Garima Limited aims to mobilize NPR 40 crore, strengthen operational capabilities, and enhance transparency in corporate governance. Investors participating in this offering will not only contribute to the growth of Nepal’s premier hospitality property in Itahari but also benefit from potential capital gains and long-term engagement in Nepal’s evolving tourism landscape.

By opening its doors to public shareholders, Hotel Garima Limited signals its commitment to fostering investment confidence and driving sustainable development in the Koshi Province’s tourism and hospitality sector.
