Imagine Nepal Achieves Perfect 44/44 Everest Summit Success

Kathmandu-based Imagine Nepal achieved a remarkable 44/44 summit success on Mount Everest on Friday, with every member of its expedition team successfully reaching the summit of the world’s highest peak. Expedition leader Mingma G described the summit day as exceptionally favorable, marked by clear skies, stable weather, and unusually low traffic on the mountain.

The successful climb made May 22 a landmark day on Everest, as Imagine Nepal and Furtenbach Adventures together recorded a combined total of 86 successful ascents during the same summit window. Climbers from Imagine Nepal were seen in distinctive red summit suits, while the Furtenbach team wore yellow.

Diverse Team of Imagine Nepal Led by Mingma G

The 44-member Imagine Nepal team reflected strong international participation, including 25 Nepali guides and support staff, 18 Chinese climbers, and Romanian mountaineer Daniel Gavan. The expedition was led by Mingma G, one of Nepal’s most accomplished high-altitude climbers and the first person to summit all 14 eight-thousanders in a single season.
