An exciting international Balloon Festival is set to take place in Pokhara from Poush 9, 2024 (December 24, 2024). Organized by the Pokhara Tourism Council and Balloon Nepal, the event is scheduled to coincide with the English New Year and Christmas celebrations.
The festival will feature participants from 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Lithuania, Thailand, Vietnam, France, the Netherlands, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Italy, Brazil, and Australia.
Taranath Pahari, the chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council, confirmed that all preparations for the festival, which will be held at Fewa Field in wards 23 and 24 of Pokhara, have been completed.
The festival will include balloon flights every day from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and again from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A special highlight of the event will be the Balloon Night Glow, which will take place every evening from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, the sunrise and sunset balloon flights will be the festival’s main attraction.
Since 2018, Pokhara has been hosting commercial hot air balloon flights, and this festival will further promote the region’s tourism.
