A delegation led by Hidetada Sudo, Mayor of Fujinomiya, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, met with Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Pandey. During the meeting on Tuesday, the Japanese delegation discussed culture, tourism, and other areas of cooperation between Japan and Nepal. Minister Pandey expressed happiness over the sister-city relationship between Fujinomiya and Mandan Deupur Municipality in Kavre.
He acknowledged the global recognition of Japan’s Fuji Water and suggested exchanging knowledge and skills in agriculture, tourism, social, cultural, and educational sectors. Minister Pandey also expressed confidence that Nepal-Japan relations would strengthen further and invited the Japanese team to visit Nepal’s mountains and religious tourism sites.
