A total of NPR 43,37,497 has been raised during the Mahayagya held in Sankhe, Shuklagandaki Municipality-11, to promote religious tourism.
The Mahayagya was organized through the 120-year-old Shivalaya in Sankhe, aiming to contribute to the religious tourism in the area, as stated by Nilkantha Aryal, the chairman of the Shivalaya management committee.
While concluding the Mahayagya, the Mayor of Shuklagandaki Municipality, Krishna Raj Pandit, stated that the Yajna would contribute to the preservation of the Sanatan Dharma.
Every year on Shivaratri, devotees from Tanahun, Syangja, and various parts of the country visit this temple. The Shivalaya and its surrounding areas also feature structures of archaeological significance, such as Jante Dhunga and Sita Pailal.
