Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Minister Badriprasad Pandey has stated that China’s policies for cultural upliftment are exemplary for the world.
Speaking at a program today to discuss the physical and cultural enhancement policies passed at the 20th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, Minister Pandey emphasized that China’s approach sends a message that humanity should pursue not only material but also spiritual well-being.
He highlighted that China’s adoption of Confucian teachings for moral development in society aligns with Nepal’s Buddhist and Hindu philosophy of “paropakaraay punyaya” (for the welfare of others) and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family).
Minister Pandey noted that Nepal’s cultural and natural heritage has long been attractive to Chinese citizens. He emphasized the importance of assuring them of Nepal Airlines’ operational safety and reliability to bring more Chinese tourists to Nepal.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, shared that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s cultural “roadmap” aims to address the complexities of society. He also mentioned that the campaign will meet the cultural curiosity of the younger generation.
Chinese expert Professor Atul Koirala remarked that the cultural exchange between Nepal and China, which started with Araniko, will continue for centuries.
