The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), in collaboration with Galileo Nepal Ltd., has officially launched the second session of its six-day Galileo Travelport Global Distribution System (GDS) training program for its members. This session commenced on 26th September 2024, focusing on enhancing the skills and professional development of member agencies in GDS operations.

The training program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Galileo Travelport system, which is crucial for effective travel management and booking processes. With the ever-evolving landscape of the travel industry, mastering GDS operations is essential for travel agents to streamline their services and improve customer satisfaction.

Throughout the six-day program, attendees will engage in hands-on training, workshops, and discussions led by industry experts. The curriculum covers a variety of topics, including ticketing procedures, fare management, and the latest tools and technologies integrated into the Galileo system.

NATTA’s initiative underscores its commitment to empowering its members with the necessary skills to thrive in a competitive market. By enhancing their proficiency in GDS operations, member agencies will be better equipped to meet the demands of modern travelers and provide exceptional service in the tourism sector.

As the training progresses, NATTA anticipates that participants will not only gain valuable insights but also build a stronger network among peers, fostering collaboration within the industry. This training program is a pivotal step towards elevating the standards of service provided by Nepalese travel agencies, ultimately benefiting the broader tourism sector.
