In a bid to strengthen trade and tourism relations between Nepal and Myanmar, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), in collaboration with the Embassy of Nepal in Myanmar and the Nepal-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, is set to host the Nepal-Myanmar Trade and Tourism Expo 2025. The highly anticipated event will take place on March 21-22 at the Sapphire Hall, LOTTE Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar.
With the theme “Coming Together for Trade Promotion,” the expo aims to create a dynamic platform for businesses from both nations to explore opportunities in various sectors, including commodities, tourism, IT, and services. This initiative is expected to enhance bilateral trade and foster a deeper connection between Nepal and Myanmar’s tourism industries.
The two-day expo will feature a series of panel discussions, B2B meetings, and exhibition booths, providing businesses with the opportunity to network and collaborate. Entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders from Nepal and Myanmar will engage in insightful conversations, sharing expertise, and exploring potential business ventures. Industry leaders and policymakers will also discuss strategies to boost trade and tourism cooperation, ensuring sustainable growth in both countries.
One of the key highlights of the event is the exhibition segment, where businesses from Nepal will showcase their products, services, and tourism potential to the Myanmar market. Nepal, known for its rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and adventure tourism, sees this as a crucial opportunity to attract Myanmar tourists and investors. NTB has invited travel and tour companies to actively participate in this expo, emphasizing that it serves as a gateway for expanding Nepal’s tourism market in Myanmar.
To facilitate business participation, exhibition stalls have been made available, with costs starting at NPR 35,000. These stalls will allow Nepali businesses to highlight their offerings and engage directly with potential partners and customers. NTB encourages interested parties to take advantage of this opportunity to promote their tourism-related products and services, which include trekking, heritage tours, wellness tourism, and adventure activities.

With Myanmar being a neighboring country with growing outbound tourism, Nepal sees immense potential in tapping into this market. Myanmar travelers, with a shared cultural and religious affinity towards Nepal, are particularly drawn to Buddhist heritage sites such as Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The expo will serve as a significant step toward strengthening Nepal’s appeal as a preferred travel destination for Myanmar tourists.
For businesses and individuals interested in participating, NTB has provided contact details for stall registration and further inquiries. Potential exhibitors and attendees can reach out to the designated representatives for more information:
